British actor Benedict Cumberbatch recalled his abduction in South Africa in 2004. The conversation with him was posted on the podcast site WTF with Marc Maron.
17 years ago, the artist took part in the filming of the mini-series "At the End of the Earth" and decided to go scuba diving with his colleagues. At night, when they were returning from scuba diving, they had a flat tire, so they stopped on the side of the road and got out of the car. They were attacked by robbers with pistols.
“Then they put me in the trunk of a car, and at some point my laces were tied to my wrists. In the end, they let us go when we gave them the cards and money. But it all lasted two and a half hours because they had to get to the ATM, ”said Cumberbatch.
On November 10, the actor said that he was poisoned three times by a toxic substance on the set of the film "Power of the Dog," in which he played the owner of the largest rancher in the US state of Montana. A month earlier it became known that Cumberbatch will play the former FSB officer Alexander Litvinenko, who died due to poisoning with radioactive polonium-210.
